So it’s been a while since I wrote anything. So here we go. Today I received a letter from Baptist medical Center inviting us to “Remembrance Day”. The paper states and I quote “ each October we release butterflies to remember our babies. Families are also invited to create individual keepsakes and share memories with friends. Please, join us!” Dear Baptist medical center, I don’t think my individually created keepsake or memories to share with friends would benefit your event very much. In fact I have a feeling you’d rather hide the gruesome details of our experience. We will kindly decline your invitation and celebrate the life of our son without the people who murdered him. That being said, i’m not knocking the event it’s self. It does seem like a lovely event and I’m sure others will enjoy sharing the lives of their little ones with others that had similar situations.
I can most certainly understand why you would not want to participate in this event with them. I didn’t even know they sent those out as I’ve never received one. With that being said though, October 15th is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day where the “Wave of Light” is done at 7pm that day. You could still do something in remembrance of your “baby cakes” without doing it with them. We always do 💕
